Earth-lovers and poetry enthusiasts!

My first "Earth Poetry" workshop (at Oakhurst Community Garden) drew a small but enthusiastic group, who decided they would like to make it a regular thing. Our second quarterly gathering is coming up this month. Anyone is welcome – attendance at the Fall workshop is not a prerequisite! Join us!

"This is Earth Poetry – not poems about nature as seen from outside it, but poems exploring our relationship with nature from within."

For our second gathering, please bring some favorite examples of "Earth Poetry" to share, whether your own or another poet's. We will break to wander amid the winter inspirations of the Land Trust, then come back inside for some writing time. If it's a cold day and you'd rather stay inside, bring an object you have found in nature to spark your poetic imagination.
